can i ask my freshman year teacher for recommendation???

is it okay if my freshman year teacher wrote me a recommendation?????? cuz i heard that usually students only ask their junior year teachers for recommendation............

Unless the school you're applying to specifically asks for a certain grade level or subject--you can ask whoever you feel knows you the best and can write the best recommendation based on how long they've known you/how well, your academic capabilities, extra-curriculars, etc.

Depends on the school. Some specifically limit you to jr or sr year teachers, others will say go for anything. If you feel they know you BETTER than any of your jr or sr teachers, go for it, but make sure it's obvious why you chose them. If you're unsure about a certain college, ask your admissions counselor there.

I asked two sophomore year teachers and and 8th grade teacher. The sophomore teachers were the best teachers I had in high school, and they still know me very well. The 8th grade teacher moved to the highschool the year I did and I talked to her all throughout high school. This year I go to her room 7th and 8th period once or twice a week if I have to stay after (I have early release) and she's been helping me with AP Env Sci so I felt she knew me very well to write me a rec. Plus, I'm going to major in education for her subject (earth science).
