I am interested in becoming a pediatric oncologist, but I was wondering if I would be able to get a degree for nursing in four-years and then go straight to medical school and study to become a pediatric oncologist?

I know it probably sounds weird to want to do both, but if anyone could give me insight on the idea it would be much appreciated.

Thank you!

I’m sure there have been people that have gotten BSN’s and have gone onto Med school. Anything is possible.

Just study hard, get a high GPA, and get a high MCAT score and you are eligible to go to med school.

To be honest, I don’t think you would be able to do it without making sure you did certain prerequisites first. You need to check what exactly you need to complete to go to medical school because they may not be the same. Most nurses do not go on to become doctors. They are really different fields and focuses.
