Can I cancel a stafford Loan after 2nd disbursement?

<p>I have a stafford loan and it will be disbursed in three installments since my school is on the quarter (really trimester) system. Each academic school year is three quarters. </p>

<p>I only need aid the first two quarters. Can I cancel after I get two disbursements?</p>

<p>Yes…if you can handle it, some schools would let you skip the first installment if you already have the money you need) so that you only accrue interest from 2nd & 3rd term</p>
