Ok so in digital photo I just checked my grade, it was at a 90.3% now it's at an 89.4% and I am about to cry.

Especially because what brought the grade down was AN EXTRA CREDIT ASSIGNMENT.

Yes, basically if you gave her a photo to enter into a photo contest, she told us it was a 30 point extra credit assignment. What she didn't tell us is that it could actually hurt your grade. I got a 25/30 on the assignment and that is what brought me down. She lied to me and the class, that isn't extra credit, if I just wouldn't have done the assignment my grade would still be an A. Can I complain to the school about this and have them either make it an extra credit (25/0) or remove the grade completely? Because I feel like my grade got screwed because she lied to me.

I guess you could try. Do you have any more point opportunities?

No, the year is over. The Extra Credit (which isn’t really extra credit) screwed my grade over. The assignment wouldn’t have even gone in as anything had I not done it. She lied. I feel like I was lied to and should be able to have the grade cancelled.

If your grade was 90.3 what was the point of doing it?

It wasn’t a 90.3 when I did it. The assignment was done prior to the final, but put in after the final. My grade was like an 88 when I did it.

I just checked my grades and it went down as a result. School ended for me on Wednesday the 4th.

But grades are due June 9th.

Oh my god, I just emailed her, basically telling her that I’m crying and hyperventilating and she added 5 points onto my final which put it at a 90.0% Oh my god. So relieved. I was really about to go catatonic.

Just wondering did you care about the grade for Valedictorian Honors or just for colleges? I don’t think colleges would really mind you having a B+ in an art class, I’m pretty sure they don’t check off people based on the numerical GPA, they should look at a transcript. Glad you fixed it though, I was stressing out about my grade in English. My teacher showed us 2/3rds of the 1960’s Cleopatra movie and then made us write a 2 page essay on Julius’ Caesar’s character in the play and in the movie, which we only read up to Act II on. The essay was worth 30% of our final grade. I have no idea what grade I’m gonna have.

No. There is no way I’m getting valedictorian. I was pissed off because it almost screwed up the first time I ever got a GPA above a 4.0 (I have a 4.17)
