Can I do it?

So I just became serious about school. I am in my sophomore year of high school taking mostly regular classes. First question: I am taking regular chemistry. If I get an A in the class do you think I will do good in AP Physics (because I want to go into Engineering)? Second question: I am currently taking honors Algebra 2 and getting an A-. Next year will be Trig/Precalc. and senior year is Calc. AB. In senior year, how much harder will BC be than AB?

I just want to make my parents proud since they have been telling me to try harder since freshman year and I never listened. Got a 3.0gpa. Just want to fix that and pay my parents back since they have done so much for me.

Thanks.

BC is the same as AB, just faster. The rest of your question depends on a lot of factors, like the teacher and your ability to grasp concepts.

Thanks for the input

As for honors chemistry and AP Physics, there is no way to base physics off of chemistry, they are two totally different fields of science.

^^ True

How good you are at math is a better indication of how you’ll do in Physics.

Why not do Ap Chem though since you are doing a Chem Course anyway. Ap physics requires you to be good at Calculus which you said you will only do precalc which isn’t enough. As @AMan236 stated Calc BC goes a lot faster covering all of AB in one semester.
