Hey CC, just a simple question;
is AP Chem generally easier than AP Physics B? Like getting the concepts and stuff? From what I hear, my senior friends tell me it's so much easier but I don't believe them. Is it true though? Thanks!

AP Chemistry at my school is the second hardest AP under AP Physics C. My school doesn’t offer AP Physics B. AP Chemistry is one of those classes that you have to really pay attention and find trends and everything stacks on each other. Chemistry is like building a house. You need the foundation before you can work your way up. AP Physics B just mirrors AB Physics & Physics I. It’s not Calculus based so it’s kind of easier. AP Physics B just requires PreCalculus or Math Analysis in some schools. Both classes take time and hard work. Physics is a class where either you understand it, or you kind of don’t. I took AB Physics Freshman year, and I hated it, and barely understood it. Now as a Sophomore, in Honors Chemistry, I find this material much easier than Physics. I don’t know if you took an Honors Physics or Chemistry class yet, and if you have, which one did you understand the best? Rigor of a course varies among the schools so It may be easier in your school. I hoped I helped.

well I took regular chemistry as a freshman and got an A-, I really liked it because it wasn’t really hard. But obviously that’s because it wasn’t a honors/AP class… but yeah thanks for the reply!

your welcome. I guess you can take AP Chemistry, since you know some Chemistry.
