Hello everyone!

This is my first post on College Confidential :)
I would like to know if my situation would hurt my chances of getting into a MS program in statistics.
Here's my situation in detail:

I am a 3rd year student in economics at a well known public state university, and recently declared a minor in statistics.
I have taken no upper division math/statistics courses so far, but I have completed the lower division prereqs and I am planning to take many upper division math/stats courses in my 4th year to complete my minor in statistics.
I enjoyed my lower division statistics courses and upper division econometrics courses, which was very quantitative.
My current GPA is high (3.713 overall) and I am in the top 9% of my graduating class.

Here are my 2 questions:

Would a Econ Major+Stats Minor combination be good enough to get accepted into a prestigious MS program?

I have mentioned above that I will be completing all of my upper division math/statistics courses in my 4th year. However, applications to graduate schools are due this December. Thus, my transcript that I will be submitting in my application will not include these upper division courses. In other words, my GPA will be purely based on my economics courses and GEs. Would this situation hurt my chances of getting into grad school?

I would appreciate some input.

Thanks!
