Can I get accepted into WPI?

I’m a Senior in a small high school, but here’s where I stand right now:

SAT: 1270 (Waiting on my scores for my second attempt…)
GPA 4.0 unweighted, 4.14 weighted
Class ranking: 5 out of 27 (because there is a 3-way tie for 2nd with 4.15)

Academics:
Honours Chemistry (A+)
Honours/AP English (A+) (Passes AP Test)
Currently in Honours/AP Calculus, Literature, and Physics. (Taking the AP test for all)
Intro to Technology Course (1 year, because the class was cancelled)

Extra Curricular:
Treasurer of Student Government (1 Year)
National Honours Society (2 years counting this year,) As well as officer placement as Treasurer of NHS.
Cross Country (4 Years) Captain for 2 years.
Soccer (4 years) Captain for 2 years.
President of Drama Club
Vice President of Video Game/Development Club (1 year, was Disbanded)

I think that’s about it… What do you think?

Seems like you should get in. SAT scores are on the lower side, but everything else looks excellent. I’d suggest some intensive practice before retaking (hint: practice not intelligence is really what makes the difference on the SAT, and you seem more than intelligent enough to do well on a standardized test).

Good luck!

depending on the SAT scores of your 2nd attempt… you can choose not to send them WPI is a SAT optional school

Your scores are fine. You should probably send them in in any case.

Not an expert, but I’d only suggest not sending scores if they are below the 25th percentile or if you strongly believe your Flex Path submissions are significantly stronger than your scores. 1270 is not amazing, but it is not terrible.
