Well here is my problem. My parents....well aren't legal in this country so guess what? i can't get government funding through them cuz their social security numbers are not valid. I've applied to so many different education loands but i get denied because of bad credit and not enough credit. And the only hope was an ucle who could be a co-signer but he doesn't want to take on the resposibility. What can i do to get loans or help tp pay for my school. I'm already in school and i'm behind 2 months in payments, almost 3, my Parets were paying out of their own pocket but unfortunatly now their finacial situation is bad because their bussiness is not foing so great. Please if anyone can give me any kind of information i would really appreciate it.

Thanks

The more loans you apply for and get turned down for, the more it goes on your credit report. That is just a sad fact of life, right there.

Please speak with the financial aid head at your school about this. And see what guidance you can obtain. But, be really professional and just lay out your situation on the table, refrain from whining. I think some of us gals have a tendency to sound like we are whining sometimes, I am not trying to sound mean.

Also, please go to the bursar of your school. Explain your payment situation and try to work out a longer payment plan if that is possible. That will mean that you will have to work a bit more and maybe obtain one of those little seasonal sales jobs that are always hiring this time of year.

If all else fails. Finish the semester out even if it makes you really tired. Alright? Please try to work things out with those payments pronto and finish out the semester.

Then, go to your local Community College and do what you have to do to apply for the spring or summer. Pay out of pocket for Community College and go for one of those degrees which are University parallel and have a good articulation agreement with a ton of Universities in your state. Know what I am saying? Then, you work hard at the Community College and transfer later on down the line. Bank your money in one of those things the fin aid folks do not check. I cannot remember what they all are but the web site called finaid has a list of ethical "savings" types of opportunities which the fafsa folks do not check for right now.

See, so I presented a little plan of attack for you and maybe it will help you. Now, another plan of attack would be to find another co signer within your own family who has a legal SS# and the like. Then, you can have a letter drawn up and certified proclaiming that you promise with all of your heart to take responsibility for paying back your loan when the time comes. But, if you do that, be sure to get one of those loans which you pay back after graduation.

That is all I know. The biggest thing I know is that you cannot give up on earning your degree. Alright? Do not give up on that.

Thanks alot. I'm going to try getting a co-signer see if it works out.
