<p>I'm am an Asian female (Indian) living in Michigan. My school is somewhat competetitive, but has sent no one to the Ivy Leagues. What are my chances in % (try to give them in %, please) to get into Harvard, Yale, Michigan, Princeton, John Hopkins, Cooper Union, and Oakland University? I am a junior right now.</p>

<li>I am very devoted to Indian dance and have won many awards. I think my three hooks are my strong GPA, challenging course schedule, and a passion for music. Obviously, my SAT isn't the best, so how much will my SAT hurt me? Will my lack of math class in 12th grade hurt me if I am planning to do biochemistry in college? Based on these stats (without essays, recs), what are my percent chance into the above schools. Thanks!</li>

<p>You're getting in to UMich. no prob, and have a shot at Hopkins. The others on your list are long shots, and being Indian, you do nothing for diversity...you might want to try to turn the dance thing into a possible hook.</p>

<p>I wouldn't say the GPA's very high. Top 10% in a normal HS are usually ~3.9uw.</p>

<p>I've got a 3.85...I'm not even in the top 20%...grr.</p>

<p>HYP is out...join me at Umich in 2006 girl...take it from an HYP reject.</p>

<p>UMich, you're a good shot. Hopkins is a 50/50-40/60 for rejection.</p>

<p>HYP are about a combined 3%.</p>

<p>I don't "see" anything. Not much stand-out, scores are on the low end. BUt oyur devotion to Indian Dance...I'm not sure. Is it just me, or do I see a LOT OF "devoted indian-type dancers" these days...</p>

<p>Don't waste your money on HYPS. Michigan looks to be a good lock, apply in september. Go there. You're in state and so it will be cheap + will probably be the best school you will get into.</p>

<p>You will get into Michigan (although I can't guarentee it). You have a shot at Johns Hopkins - though it will depend on how well you present yourself on your application. HYP is a major reach.</p>

<p>It's funny how you grouped HYP with Oakland University. OU's definitely your safety... don't even worry about it.
