the schools i'm applying to next year are lehigh, northeastern, rutgers, and indiana bloomington
i want to major in business, probably accounting
and maybe a minor in chinese
i'm pretty sure i'll get into the last three...
but are my chances of getting into lehigh good?

Importance of cost: Very important

you have a very good shot at Lehigh, you shouldnt bother applying to Northeastern. However it seems strange that your gpa is so high (3.95) but your only in the top 25% of your class. Is your school that easy or is your class just particularyly strong?

thanks a lot!
and answer to your question...
my school's a public magnet school
there's 7 different programs to choose from- biz, science, engineering, med, telecom, visual/performing arts, culinary/hotel management

my gpa's high cause i'm in the hotel program which means i only have to take all honors classes as opposed to ib or ap classes for kids in some other programs, and all the classes are weighted the same, so there's no extra gpa boost for ap or ib classes

plus, every program has diff core classes, my core classes (hospitality/ culinary) are a lot easier than those for a science kid (4 sciences every year, aps in jr or sr year) or a business kid (all IB classes)

also, i took a lot of electives which boosted my gpa up

but another question, is there any definite way i can get rejected from NYU
my parents want me to apply, but i don't want to go the NYU :(
my chances for rejection are pretty high since i'm applying to stern, but any surefire way? thanks :)

visit lehigh .. if you don't you might not get in .. in everywhere else

does me being chinese lower my chances of getting into lehigh?
i'm worried affirmative action might work against me...

i don't think it hurts your chances at all

thamks so much

you're getting into rutgers. lol. honors, probably.

lehigh is weird, so put time into your app. I've seen people getting into cornell engineering who got rejected by lehigh.
