<p>I am a senior who just applied app state; I have a 3.9 weighted and 3.6 unweighted GPA. I got a 1560 on the SATs but I am retaking them in October. I have taken all AP and Honors Courses, and passed them with either an A or B. What are my chances for App State?? It's the only college my family can really afford</p>

<p>We need more than just that… Extracurriculars? Class rank? Class size? URM? Hooks? Racial/ethnic background? Gender? All of that plus anything else you can think of.</p>
<p>Keep in mind, many colleges offer scholarships; many others are need-blind. Just because your parents can not afford, say, the $55k price of a college like MIT, they should also look at the financial aid of each college (in this case, MIT would cover all expenses you can not pay).</p>

<p>I’d say that you’d be in if you we’re from instate, you sound right on point. There’s not a cheaper option for you in your own state? ASU is fairly expensive out of state.</p>
<p>Actually most schools in Maryland are around the same price!</p>
