I might be retaking the SAT but idk if I d do as well…
I go to a private (prestigious) all girls catholic school
I don t have many EC s but I am in orchestra (assistant concert master) Blueprint-literary&art magazine (assistant editor–>next in line for editor in chief), Asian cultural society
I m in honors studio art (a selective art program in my school, on the track for AP studio art next year)
High honors classes & APUSH in school (My school offers at most 3 AP classes for juniors) I am taking AP Physics and AP Chinese outside of school
planning to take a few SAT subject tests and AP exams
I would really like to get into an Ivy league, but I m asian, and I feel that I don t have the best repetoire to compete w/ the other people applying
Given that, think beyond the Ivy League schools. There are tons of others, you know.
I think you’d be a good candidate, but the Ivy’s are reaches for anyone. You definitely need some matches and safeties.
You could get in, but as with anyone, there is a better chance you don’t get in.
I agree with all the other previous comments. Ivies are not matches for anyone. I definitely think your GPA and test scores are there, however make sure YOU shine through when it comes to your essays. Definitely apply to multiple Ivies, some other reaches, match schools, and safety schools. Best of luck to you!!
Your stats are definitely competitive and get you into the range of an admitted student. After that, it’s anyone’s guess, really! Apply to a mix of schools but don’t be afraid to shoot for Brown!

What major are you thinking of? Your best bet for an Ivy League would probably be Cornell ED.
Your test scores and GPA do you make you a competitive candidate, but it’s hard to say for sure what will happen. I’d say the best way to boost your chances is to write amazing essays. Good luck with everything!
The Ivies are a reach for anybody but your stats put you in contention.
Please don’t take your SAT again. Those scores are great and raising your total score is not going to give you a decisive boost. Be proud of them and focus on something else.
Do you have an idea of what you might want to study? (you seem to be drawn to art and literature) Will you qualify for need-based aid and if so, how much? What are your parents willing to pay and does it match up with your EFC? Do you want to stay in the region or are you willing/able to move?
Assuming it’s affordable, the Brown/RISD program does look like a good fit.
Provide more information about the kind of experience you are seeking, and you will get better advice about which Ivies might be the best fit for you as well as alternatives where you would have a greater chance of acceptance.
