CAN I GET INTO CARNEGIE MELLON EARLY DECISION HSS???

hey guys this is my first post and I REALLY want to go to Carnegie Mellon in HSS for neuroscience :-j
I plan to ED and I know that HSS is the easiest school to get into but my grades are at most mediocre. I also dont think I have that many extracurriculars.
Please tell me give me some feedback on my chances of getting in. THANKS GUYS ^:)^

I go to a very well known competitive high school in NYC. One of the top schools in the nation
My Gpa is around a 3.5 unweighted
my grades show an upwards trend

ACT:33
SATII: Math 2:760 (Plan to take BIO prob gonna get 720+)

Ive only taken 1 Ap and 3 honors so far :frowning: : Honors Geometry, Honors Spanish, Honors /Alg2Trig,APEnvironmental Science
Senior Year Course Load:
AP bio
AP Calc AB
AP Statistics
AP Microecon
Honors Creative Writing

Other things about me:
Asian Male
-Handball Team: Captain for 2 years
-Handball Club: Founder and President
-ICHA handball competition 4th place
-Stock Market Club

I have been playing piano for 6 years years
I worked as a tutor for 2 years
I have 100 volunteer hours working with children
I plan to get a summer job in a hospital

I have already scheduled a interview with carnegie mellon

Assuming that my reccomendation letters are good, my application essay is awesome, I take early decision in application, what are my chances of getting in?

Anything you know that would help, please tell me!

Based on your statistics, I would say you have a VERY GOOD shot at getting. Your scores are above the average for the school, but with admissions you truly never know. The officer may hate your essay and that could be that, but solely based on statistics I would say you have an excellent shot considering you are also applying ED. One tip I would have for you is that simply saying “I play the piano” is not that helpful, you might want express how good you are/what your achievements are/ how that helps you. Otherwise, good luck.

hmm…I like your ACT, and the hand ball ECs lol. Your gpa is a little worrisome, but going ED will definitely boost your chances. :)>-
