Can I get into Harvard/Stanford/Columbia/Yale?

I am currently a sophomore in a public school in Alabama. I am Asian American. If I were to get these scores and grades for the next three years and excel in these areas, would I be able to get into Harvard/Stanford/Columbia/ or Yale? If it makes a difference, my brother went to Yale (I'm not sure if sibling legacies count).

I know that these grades are probably extreme, and many might say that they're impossible, but I'm reaching high, and it would really help to know whether these grades would be enough to get into a good school.

Now for extracurriculars:

Violin: All State Orchestra Festival since 2nd grade; Began sitting in the First Violin Section in 5th Grade, with chairs of 3,10,3,2,1; Won the State competition every year; I've sat first chair at our State's youth symphony since 9th grade

Piano: Have won either second or first place in the AFMC (Statewide) Competition every year, Won the ISS (South Region) in 10th grade (can't come back after you've won), and have also won the state competition every year

Golf: I've participated on the high school golf team since 8th grade, and I've been considered Team Captain and MVP since 9th grade. I win a couple of tournaments per year, and I score around a 76.

Math Team and Debate: I constantly win math team competitions, including Mu Alpha Theta (National Convention), and I can at least enter quarter-finals every tournament for debate

If it makes any difference, I don't need financial aid.

Can you? Maybe. Will you? No one here can predict what will happen once you press the submit button. You seem to be on the right track, but as a sophomore, I imagine all of your SAT score, AP tests, SAT Subject Test scores are projected scores – scores you hope to recieve – which is fine, but without actual scores, it’s too early to ask for chances. Ask again next year when you have the real data. In the meantime, please read this thread; http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/harvard-university/1420290-chance-threads-please-read-before-posting-one.html

You’re going to want to delete irrelevant racial info from any future resumes. Good luck!

Amy: please do not ignore snarlatron’s advice. A potential huge insensitivity can be inferred into your “i help the lesser kids” comment.

^^ I agree. That comment could torpedo your application.

Does anyone else smell a ■■■■■?

"President of Key Club during 12th grade

Honor Society since 11th grade"

If amyzhao14 is “currently a sophomore”, these are interesting stats for her CV. And the assumption about future grades/AP scores is bit presumptuous. Also, 400 hours of hospital community service every summer (in a 2-month period, that’s 6.7 hours every day including weekends)? Also, would amyzhao14 enter her real name here (not usually a good idea, especially when you are bragging your butt off)? Sorry for being such a skeptic, if you really exist. Personally, if I were on an ad comm, such hubris would be enough to turn me off. :(

^^ It’s very common for newbie CC posters who are freshman and sophomores to list their “projected” EC’s, GPA’s, test scores etc. that anticipate having by the time they are seniors applying to college. I think that is what is happening here.

^^ I defer to your expertise.

Your classes, and grades are pretty good. I think it depends on your essay, and SAT grades more. Colleges look at the SAT score first, and the essay then they look at your GPAs. Not only that, good colleges likes students who takes a lot of advance classes and achieving it.
