So the SAT Subject test scores just came out, can’t say I am not disappointed, I know Colleges don’t care too much about it but I wanted a better score. Anyway, I got a 620 in Math 1 and 640 in Physics. I am taking ACT this December and my GPA is 4.0. Do you think I might get accepted into Harvard with subject test scores in the 600’s?
Those SAT II scores are very low for Harvard and similar schools. Harvard is a reach for everyone and out of reach for many.
@AliMaged - guess ^ is correct, but it also depends on rest of your package
@TomSrOfBoston I’ve just taken all the concepts covered in the Math lvl 2 test and I know I can definitely do better in physics (I haven’t taken physics since freshman year and only had 3 weeks to study for it). Do you think I should retake the test next January?
Yes, but what is your GPA and SAT I scores? What are your EC’s etc.
What state / country are you from?
@TomSrOfBoston Well, I am an IGCSE student so I got 6 A’s and 2 A’s, hopefully will get another A in Math Alevel so I think this equals to a 4.0 GPA in the USA. Haven’t taken SAT I, I have registered for the Decmeber ACT test date.
@ClarinetDad16 Egypt but in a British school.
Good luck Ali!
I am an Egyptian too living in KSA.
@ahmedsheta Thank you.
You need to be perhaps the top applicant from your country in your year to get in. There are 5 undergraduates from your country,
@ClarinetDad16 I think if someone got 8 A’s it would be the same as 6 A’s and 2 A’s so I really need to stay focused at the ACT right now.
Hope for the best, but assume rejection. Apply to a wide variety of schools. That’s the best advice I can give you.
