Can I get into Johns Hopkins?

Hi Everyone,
I'm only a sophomore in high school, but I've been worrying about college for a while. While I like some other colleges, JHU is by far my favorite. Please tell me how much of a chance I have so far.
Freshman Year:
Unweighted GPA-4.0 Weighted- 4.1
Main classes:
Geometry
Honors English
Honors Earth Science
Honors Global 9

Sophomore Year
(For first quarter) Unweighted GPA-3.9 Weighted-4.1
Main Classes:
Algebra 2/ Trig
Honors Bio
Honors English
AP European History
(Basically I take the hardest and best classes possible, and I definately will continue to for my Junior and Senior years)
I will not be valedictorian though, I know it... there are a few kids that are just too hard to beat! I guess my class rank is about 8th out of about 100 kids.

I took the PSAT this year and did not get my grade yet, but I'm sure I did terrible. I'm a slow worker, and it was really hard for me. With practice though I think I can get a 2100. I am also planning on taking the ACT because science is my strongest subject.

Activities Include:
Interact Club
Model United Nations Club
Drama Club
Enviornmental Club
Newspaper Club
I will be running for class presedent for my Junior & Senior year, and will probably win because no one really runs.
My only sport is tennis; I'm not athletic at all
Working at a local deli

I voulenteered at a local charity organic vegetable farm last summer, for 2-3 days per week and for 5 hours a day.
This summer I plan to do more voulenteer work, preferably doing something really big; like going to another third-world country (probably Guyana) to work.

If I'm missing anything, please tell me. Thanks!

It sounds like you’re doing a great job! The only additional things I would say are to really take A LOT of SAT practice tests (get an SAT book ASAP) Also, when you have time, it’s never too early to think about & start writing your essay…make it stand out above the rest. Look at “college essays tha worked”. I saw that somewhere on JHU site. Also, I’m sure you could google them. You need to make it personal, it sounds like you have lots of great things working in your favor. Also, find out who your admissions counselor is & email him/her. Ask them any kind of question just to start a dialogue. That way, you’ll make an impression even before they get your application. Good luck:-)

Okay, thanks for the tips! I actually do have an SAT prep book, and I study it a lot, especially the vocab!
