Can I get into Michigan State University?

I have always wanted to go to Michigan State University, but I am worried I might not get in. Here are my credentials:

I have a 3.22 GPA, and a 23 ACT (retake score pending). I have recommendations from teachers, a University of Michigan-Dearborn professor, and a few people in the Michigan House of Representatives. I have 100 volunteer hours. I am Captain of the Varsity Wrestling Team and on the JV Cross Country Team. I had an internship in the House of Representatives and an internship with the University of Michigan professor. I was on Student Council and received a Leadership Award, a Science Fair Honorable Mention, a Varsity Letter Award, and I am on the Honor Roll. I also have taken several honors courses and a very challenging college prep curriculm. I am also a michigan resident.

To be honest, you're cutting it close. But you still have a good chance, especially with your great EC's. Definitely retake your ACT; if your pending scores are 25+, I'd say that increases your chances substantially. 27+ would definitely help your app. even more. I'm guessing you are class of 2009; just make sure to kick butt in grades your 1st semester of senior year and stress to MSU that they are your first choice. I would predict that currently they wouldn't deny you outright, but perhaps defer admission to wait until your 1st semester senior grades. If that is the case, make sure you do very well and then you'll be hopefully able to get in. Good luck!

I hate to say it, but unless you pick up you ACT score to at least a 27, you probably won't get in.
