Can i get into MIT, Yale,Princeton or Harvard?

Indian is an anti-hook.
ORM

I am also Indian, so no bias. Colleges have too many indians. AT top schools 20% are Asian which is much higher than the population. However, you can choose to not report.

You can’t get a 2200 for the SAT IIs. But good chances.

bumpbumpbump…

have you taken an sat practice test yet?! I’m sorry, but I read your paragraph and though you’re quite fluent, there are definitely a few grammatical errors… your EC’s look absolutely fantastic, but as coursework is in english and you’re a foreign applicant, I do think they’ll look at your SAT score as a way to see how you do on a standardized test (an A in Spanish in the US isn’t the same as an A in spanish in Mexico…)

I’ve also heard privates don’t give too much financial aid to international students. The schools you listed, however, are need-blind for internationals as well.

Sorry to be so skeptical! I prefer it when people are with me, so that’s pretty much why.

@bluenotebook2: (how on earth did you come up with that and 2?? does that mean there is a bluenotebook1 too!!! ppl here have really funny names:) ) I have taken the practice test that college board has and my score was 2100. What do you mean by SAT will not be considered? Then what will they consider? I love constructive criticism but apart from the grammar thing you haven’t really said anything about my shot at these colleges  I checked with Microsoft word and it seems to differ with your opinion on my grammar…lol anyways could you elaborate?? And btw i checked your thread
"Guys- what would you do if a girl told you she finds you attractive? " damn hilarious stuff!!! especially loved johnnyzxz’s reply… just read through the first page though

Sorry about that SAT thing, I mistook that do as a don’t. Just ignore those two lines(What do you mean by SAT will not be considered? Then what will they consider?)

Just noticed that they have an edit button!! Boy I feel stupid now!!

hahaha there was a blue notebook in my room and I thought it was appropriate. and yeah, that was a really funny thread!

It’s the “talking” instead of “taking,” “real good,” and a few other phrases that gave me that impression; I’ve also noticed that most internationals on here don’t do as well on the CR/Writing sections. But if you’re getting 2100 on practice tests, you’ll be fine.

As I said, you have great EC’s! I think you have a real shot.

Great chance

I think Dartmouth is also going need blind for internationals

Thanks a lot “bluenotebook2”. I can’t believe that even after proofreading it twice I didn’t notice that. I think my brain just decided to ignore it!! It sure is a complex organ  I am definitely going to have someone read my college essays now!!!

@barrk123 Dartmouth and Amherst are the only other colleges that have a need blind policy for internationals. But they are not on my list because Amherst does not have an engineering program and the one at Dartmouth is pretty bad or so I have heard.

is engineering at Dartmouth worth it?? I couldn’t bother to start a new thread :)
