Hey I
d be really helpful if I can get some help here!
I
m an 11th grader studying in India. I just got a 2280 SAT (710 CR 800 M 770 WS). In India we dont really have a GPA, but till in my 10th boards I got 97.4%,and in my current school I come first in class. I plan to give SAT Subject Test for Physics and Maths next year and will not accept anything below full. I will be taking APs in economics, physics, calculus.
In extra curricular activities, I
ve been playing tennis for the past 7 years although I
ve not won anything substantial save the one time i played for my state. I love debating and have represented my schools in Inter School Debates for the past few years. I have been taking part in quizzes ,extempore, soccer, basketball and other such activities on a school level.I was also a prefect in my old school and lead my house to a victory. In the 8th grade i too part in the FTC championship (robotics) where my team won the national championship and went on to represent India at St.Louis, but this was the last of robotics so idk if this counts. I work for an MUN and am also doing an internship at a software company. Next year I will be going to Sweden for a student exchange program. I plan to shadow a few people.
For social work, I have been working for 'Project Buniyaad', a project aimed at improving the lives of children in rural communties. Recently, I started an NPO called Utopia Pune, a student organization which aims at tackling problems society faces such as drugs, tobacco, etc

What are my chances of getting into the above colleges? Should I take the SAT again? What else can I do to increase my chances of getting into the colleges i want?
I would really be thankful if u can answer these questions :)

Hey dude! I think you have a great chance to Berk and Penn, but Harvard and Stanford maybe reaches (it is for everyone, keep that in mind) But they should consider that you are international.

Everything seems pretty great! I think u have a great chance at Penn and Berkeley, for the other 2 you have a good chance. Are you taking any honor courses?

oh it’s the more difficult version of some subjects! some schools have that + APs…we have that instead of APs…ok great! just make sure you are taking as many difficult subjects as you can, but also ones that you will be able to get good grades!:)

You look like a competitive applicant. I have nothing to say that hasn’t been said above except work feverishly on your essays. They can make or break your app

Thanks for chancing me earlier!
UCB–High match
Harvard–reach
Stanford–reach
Penn–low reach
Almost the same as the guy above me posted.

You have done a lot of things. Congrats on your accomplishments! Also, your SAT is really good for anyone, but especially good for an 11th grader. At around this time when I was in 11th grade, my SAT was a 2090 lol. And my first ACT, a couple months later, was a 31. (Eventually brought it up to a 33, and SAT to a 2280.)

You have hyper impressive stats! Thing is , all the schools you mentioned are extremely unpredictable so don’t take any of our chances seriously. Unpredictability aside though :

UCB–mid/high match
Harvard-- mid/high reach
Stanford–reach
Penn–low reach

Nah UCB is not that unpredictable, you have fantastic reports and fantastic standardised testing scores - The UCs are number crunchers. Only problem might be the fact you are indian (dw so am I) and UCB is a state school so they actually limit the amount of indians entering the school. With that being said, your scores are stellar and will probably only improve in year 12 - you are fine :)

Berkeley- match
Harvard - high reach
Stanford - reach
UPenn - low reach

I’d say that if you’re only a junior, take the SAT again and take the ACT. Try to get as close to perfect as possible and do well on all your subject tests. I know that if you were a U.S. student, you’d be very competitive for all these schools, but I’m not familiar with how international students compare.
