I was previously studying under the british academic system but then switched in my sophomore year into the American one. I speak 4 languages, did an internship with a construction company, have been tutoring kids around the community for free for the past one year, won AP chemistry competition at Jacksonville University.

This year made a 750 on SAT II Chem and 1800 on the SAT I (1800 with 5hrs of studying, going to retake and aim for a 2000 in August). Made a 5 on Ap chem, 4 on english, 4 in US Hist. Taking one more SAT II later.

GPA is currently at 3.6 UW but will be approaching 3.75 by the end of senior year. have been part of only the engineering academy so far, but joining a few clubs for senior year.

What are my chances ? thanks for replying

Even with a 2000, it would be a reach, but ivies are for everyone. It doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try, because you never know.

No, you cannot with an 1800.

“No, you cannot with an 1800.”

Hahaha…OP, just ignore that comment. It’s been proven that anything is posible. I have a friend who got into Stanford with an SAT score below 1800.

u’ll never know till u apply
IMO those are reaches for u but that doesn’t necessarily mean u won’t make it. Also gratz on a 5 in ap chem that was a hard test!!!

No, while it could happen, you will almost definately be rejected at all of those schools with a 1800 on the SAT. Lol unless of course you are a Native American, in which colleges will expect you to score a lower SAT score (ie be dumber or have more “real world experience” lol) and you would be competitive at every school in the country. However, even if you are black or mexican, you will still have trouble getting into any one of those schools.

very, very low chance. this doesn’t really make any sense though, how did you score well on the satii chem test and your ap tests yet bomb the sat? something doesn’t add up. and that’s what an adcom is going to think.

A low chance, but you never know…keep your fingers crossed.

thinkforyourself-

Idk…I know some people who are great at “school” stuff and horrible SATers. Which sucks for the OP, cuz I bet (s)he is a stellar student…however some people are just not good at those darn standardized tests. My advice…buy PR, BB, Barons, and Direct Hits and study VERY diligently for the rest of the summer. You do that and I wouldnt b surprised if you get a 2100+ on the SAT.

i agree with thinkforyourself and Rtgrove123, 1800 is pushing it for even the B schools. but i think i can top 2000 when i retake it. don’t know maybe just had an off day on the 1800 (probably so because my cousin showed up for 3 months all of a sudden from NY, resulting in a lot of distractions.)

to Rtgrove123, I’m a nationality that is quite uncommon, more so than blacks or Mexicans, but not as much as Native American lol! also by the time i finish HS i would have done it only in 3 years with like 29 credits (5 more then i need.) the only reason my GPA is kinda low i guess is because I wasn’t that serious the 1st year of HS… too much partying and hanging out with friends, you know how it goes…
