Although I am a freshman at my high school, I am extremely interested in going to school at the University of Utah to double major in French and Arabic. I am also concerned I won't have the grades.

So my question is, what does it take to get into the University of Utah?

Right now I have...

-3.5 unweighted GPA in all AP classes, or equivalent
-Member of Stu Co
-JV soccer team

... and wanted to know what the bare minimum was to be accepted at the U of U!

Any input is helpful! Thanks very much in advance!

Waaaaayy too early to tell. Come back in a year or two when you have actually been in high school for a decent amount of time. Anyways, to have a decent shot...get about an 1100/1650 SAT or equivalent ACT, keep up that GPA, although getting it slightly higher for best chances.

my advice, keep college in mind, keep up your gpa, but your 14 or 15 years old, don't let it drive you crazy and ruin the rest of high school because you are thinking about college

Hey, I don’t know if you will get this seeing as its been a long time since it was posted. If you do, I can tell you that you will for sure get in. They have a high acceptance rate. I’m a senior and I’m going to graduate in 4 days! woot anyway I only have a 3.2 GPA and an ACT score of 23, no extra curricular and I got accepted… Though I did have some engineering classes that might have helped. Also, In 9th and 10th grade I only got 2.7’s and 2.9’s! I was so shocked. I wouldn’t have even applied except that its the only architectural school in Utah. Anyway don’t sweat it, I’m quite sure you’ll make it. :)
