I'm torn between going to journalism school or law school, but does it really matter to law schools if i major in journalism and then decide to go to law school? forgive me if i sound ignorant.

No, it doesn't. I know quite a few people who did journalism undergrad. Law schools really don't care what your undergrad major is.

By the way, it is not necessarily a good idea to major in journalism alone if you want to be a jouranlist. There's a big debate in the journalism community about whether majoring in journalism is useful; many prominent journalists majored in things like political science, history and economics, and encourage aspiring journalists to not major in journalism (or at least to double major in something else).

Maybe because a poli sci or econ background can really help them understand the background of their stories? Maybe psych would also be useful... just a thought.
