Can I put this on College app =\

In the 9th grade, I was part of a program in Carnegie Hall where students from around the world would interact and learn about music from different cultures. I played guitar for about 4 years and I was invited to perform in Carnegie Hall by one of the people in charge. However, I rejected the once in a lifetime opportunity because I would have to take surgery for my hand... I know that I can put in my college app that I was part of the program because my music teacher was one of the people in charge, but can I say that I was invited to play? My music teacher recommended me to the person that invited me to perform, but can that qualify as proof? This can really boost my chances of getting Ivy, so please help >.<

I don’t know if an invitation to play at Carnegie Hall that you rejected would help you that significantly, I mean I don’t even think playing at Carnegie Hall would significantly help you, it would be beneficial but alone would do nothing.

Yeah…without any official proof, you should kiss your Ivy dreams goodbye.

Oh well, it would’ve helped if I had proof but it’s not like it’s the end of the world for me :P
