Can I put this on my application?

I like to play fantasy football. I have parlayed that into writing articles for a fairly well-known fantasy site (not ESPN or anything) for which I get paid. Should I put that into my resume, or not because it's fantasy football? Thanks!

Sure. This is something interesting that you participate in outside of school, and you are even making some money at it. Excellent, uncommon activity.

I agree. If you feel sheepish about calling if an extracurricular activity, you could call it paid work.

Yeah! It’s something unique. Unique is always nice!!

I am not so sure if I would put down a field that is considered gambling by most people.

I love fantasy football and do very well, but even to me its not a game of skill it is legalized gambling.

I know technically it is not gambling, but I am not sure if the admission advisor would consider it a game of skill.

Question, would you boast your writing skills if your were paid to write an article on who someone should pick in the monday night football game? Would you put that in your college application?

I am not saying that you shouldn’t include it, just be careful on how you portray it.
