Can I still apply early decision to a school even if I do not have a counselor agreement form?

The counselor at my school send everything by mail. I decided to apply to a school early decision but I was not aware that counselors needed to sign an agreement form. I thought only parents had to.

Can I still apply early decision without a counselor agreement form? It’s a common app school.

No

Hello!
I think my counselor may have sent the documents but sent it through paper so it doesn’t show up on common app. Should I ask the school then if they got an early decision document?

Yes…call the school and ask.

so I called the school and they said they don’t have me on file until I submit my application and my counselor is on break right now… could I submit my app as early decision for now? And if it turns out I don’t have the form, will I still be considered for admission?

Why not call the college and ask? How can we know?

@tunnitk, please don’t try to go around the rules; the colleges do not like that and may toss out your application.
Everything has to be in order including counselor’s information. Your counselor will also not like the fact that you tried to circumvent his/her obligation.

You are trying to make your own rules for your advantage. None of the colleges are in session now, so it won’t do you any good to try to circumvent the rules. Wait until you go back to school and speak to your counselor.

You made a mistake. If you can reach your counselor, ask him/her to submit the agreement now. If you can’t reach him/her then just let the college know. The worst they can do is make you apply RD, but my guess is they will allow for the late submission from your counselor. We had a similar situation and the counselor turned in the ED agreement a week or two late, it wasn’t an issue.

Ah thank you so much! I went ahead and tried to email my counselor. I think I will just submit it and then talk to my counselor after break to make sure one was or is sent!
