Can I still apply to Cornell University?

Where I live it's 12/31/2013 and will be 01/01/2014 in around two hours.
Cornell's application deadline is 01/09/2014.

Their website says:

"Submit all required application materials (application mailing instructions) January 2 (extended to January 9, 2014)"

"Your best bet is to take standardized tests, and submit scores, before the application deadline."

My question is: Can I still apply? I haven't sent any scores to them yet. Is it too late to send it between now and 01/08/2014?

I dont understand the logic behind ur question. Today is the 1st, the dl is the 9th, and ur asking if its too late to apply? Cornell extended its deadline due to the commonapp issues, as stated. Scores are sent instantly. You can send that on the 9th if u wish.

SEND YOUR SCORES NOW!!!
it takes a week to process them and they should receive them before the deadline. Since it’s electronic it’s really quick the only reason it take longer is because of the processing.

Rush order the scores.

muhammad9211: The logic being scores don’t send instantly. I want to know whether they’ll take them after the 9th.

Saugus: They specifically say not to rush order scores…

No need. Send your scores now and even if they get them 4 or 5 days late it’s no problem. You have to SUBMIT by the 8th (but try to do it earlier); whether they get to Cornell on time or not isn’t your problem.

There is no need to rush the order if you order now. its the week of processing that might be trouble. If you order on the 8th and the act takes a week to process them then Cornell will get it after the 15th.which there is no guarantee if they will accept. its not immediate and after the order, its not Cornell’s problem either. Leave 5 business days in between.

It is only your application which needs to be submitted by Jan 9. All other supporting documents (test scores, LORs, transcript) can be submitted after the deadline. There is no need to rush your scores. I believe it may actually be slower.
