Can I still get into Med School in the US/Canada?

I finished my sophomore year of college, and I performed worse then I hoped for.
Biomedical Engineering Major
Overall GPA: 3.46
Grades in classes
General Chemistry 1: A
General Chemistry 2: A
General Biology 1: A
General Biology 2: A
Cell Biology: B
University Physics- Mechanics: A
University Physics- Electricity and Magnetism: A
Organic Chemistry 1: B

I am scheduled to take Biomechanics, Linear Algebra, genetics, immunology, and Biochemistry sometime this year (junior year). If I make A's in all of these classes, and score a 34+ on my MCAT, can I still get into McGill (and other US med schools)?

I'm aiming to get into Medical college of virginia and UVA (I live in Virginia), as well as Mcgill in montreal (I was born in montreal, so I qualify for their in province applicant pool)

A 3.46 GPA is really not high enough to give you much of a chance for acceptance at a US or Canadian medical school. You really need to be at 3.6 or higher to be competitive. It looks like your GPA was hurt by the Cs in Organic Chemistry and Quantitative Physiology. Organic Chemistry is really tough, I got a C in it to and got into a US MD medical school, it has little relevance to what you will be studying in medical school and probably will not be held that strongly against you. The C in Physiology is a different story. It is not a notorious weed out course like Ochem and is very relevant to what you will study in medical school. You should try to take at least one more higher level course in Physiology and get an A in it to allay any concerns the medical schools might have about your aptitutude for Physiology since it is essential to understanding medicine.

Quantitative physiology is not a standard physiology class. It is physiology with an enormous math twist to it, and is specific to biomedical engineering. I cannot retake this course. If it was standard physiology I doubt I would have had much trouble. Would you recommend I take the normal physiology class?

It couldn’t hurt, and would probably help. Any extra prep you can get in is a good thing, too.
