I'm a freshman in high school in California, and this year has gone surprisingly not well for me. It looks like between both semesters I will have a 3.3 average GPA. I know this could be a very open ended question considering I'm still only a freshman, but could I still get in to the UC system, and if so, which colleges do you think? Sorry if it is too general, but thanks in advanced.

If you get all A’s in your sophomore and junior years, that would raise your cumulative GPA to >3.75, which is good enough if you do really well on ACT/SAT. They especially like to see improvement in grades, so work on that. Try to explain to them why your grades weren’t so good during your first year when you apply. You still have time to fix your GPA, don’t worry too much. And lastly, it’s not all about grades of course. Show them you’re a leader and get involved! Good luck!
Chance back please!
