So, Hartwick College’s Founders’ Award guarantees everyone from New York a grant of $10,000 a year if they file for financial aid. I didn’t see you had to apply for financial aid to get this award, so on the common app question section for the school, I answered “no” to, “Do you intend to pursue need-based financial aid?” If I apply for financial aid, will they consider it, even though I said I wasn’t applying for it on the common app? If not, is there anything I can do?
Call the school…and ask that this box be changed to YES.
