Can I switch my major after I apply?

<p>When I filled out my college apps, I didn't have a clear picture of what I wanted to do.
Recently, I have found my path. I want to become a psychiatrist.
I would like to major in biochem, psychology, or philosophy.
The problem is that I have already applied to engineering at several schools.</p>

<p>Can I change my major after my application is sent at any of the following?
Cornell
WUSTL
Tufts</p>

<p>If I CAN, would it really hurt me to switch it?</p>

<p>You should be able to switch your major once you arrive, particularly since you have applied to Engineering and that is always harder to get into. If you have a bit of time,before you expect a decision, you could also try calling the Admission Office to see if they will change you now before a decision is made. Most colleges understand that students are sometimes undecided and may change.</p>
