I don’t try to vet out trolls, and I just answer the question at hand. However, as I stated earlier, male athletes tend to improve drastically during these years. The OP’s tennis ranking is highly likely to go up as a male; just the way it works with young men. Not so with women who peak on a different schedule. So unless the OP gets an offer too good to refuse, he has another year to work on all of his stats, plus have the knowledge gained from going through the process the first time, and also being more of a power player with that extra year of maturity and physical growth.

Why is UVA out of the picture? Your family’s income is low enough to get a good amount of aid, right?

Has this student been accepted to these colleges? Has he completed the necessary financial aid application forms for consideration of need based aid? I didn’t think UVA decisions were out yet. Do they have rolling admissions?

My DD was accepted to UVA EA and we have been informed by the Financial Aid office that awards come out the end of March. OP, please elaborate on how you’ve received your official financial aid package in advance of UVA’s published timeline. Thx!

It’s very typical for recruited athletes to get early reads of their FA offers. It probably has to be that way because of the signing of the letters of intent.

Was this high school junior recruited by UVA? We don’t really know that.
