Can I take organic chemistry after I transfer?

The way things are going, I am going to have to stay here for another 3 years ( community college) because they only offer O chem every oddnumbered year and general chem is a prerequisite. And so, I've decided to switch my major from chemistry to physics so that I will be able to transfer without having to wait an until fall 2013 for the class to be offered. I'm intending to apply to medical school eventually, which is why I know I'm going to have to take it but I was wondering if I could take it after I transfer or what should I do? I've been at this school for almost 3 years already!

You should go to the PreMed Topics subforum and do a Search for ‘community’ as the question of CC classes has come up before. As I recall it’s better to take your premed requirements at a 4 yr college.

If the 4 yr lets you transfer without it then I don’t see a problem. I wouldn’t wait an extra year for 1 class a semester.
