I'll be taking the test this Saturday, but I'm almost certain that I won't be achieving my desired score. As I need to take subject tests in November, will I be able to take the December SAT, and be able to send them in on time for UC application process?

If so, are there any negatives associated with being later than usual?

So from what I’m reading, it should be no different than taking it in november and submitting it then. Any non-apparent negatives i should know about?

The process that occurs before mid-Jan is to assure required materials are in, rendering a file complete for review, and setting up the files to be provided to each UC for review. The only admission/rejection decison that is made before mid-Jan is determining whether you qualify for admission to a UC (not any particular UC) by meeting the minimum requirements for admission (meeting a-g course requirements, being top 9% on a local basis, top 9% on a state-wide basis, or whether you can otherwise qualify via test scores alone). You are not disadvantaged in that process by submititng the December test which will usually arrive before mid-Jan.
