So for my tuition all the help I got from the state covered the tuition and it went over like 600 because in the bill it now says like -600 but am I able to use that money to buy school supplies at the book store and if so how?
You need to contact your college and find out when they issue refunds for excess money in your account.
Some schools will allow students to buy books using this amount prior to the refund time…charging to the school somehow.
You absolutely CAN use this mineynfor books…but you might not HAVE it in time to purchase them prior to,thenstart of classes. Some schools don’t do refunds until well into the term. Ask at YOUR college!
We actually cash out the remaining aid for R&B off campus and then purchase books OOP. This way we can claim more tax credit.
It depends if the scholarships are restricted to tuition only or if the overage can be used for other things. My daughter had more in tuition funds than she needed this year and she does not get that refunded because it is restricted to tuition. She does get other overage that she can use for whatever she wants - books, rent, food.
My son received an e-mail from bursars
Office to pick up a Boucher to buy books in the University store. It’s leftover aid money.
