I think I want to do the Princeton essay where you use a quote from a book or an essay as a starting point, and then talk about an event/experience that changed your view of the world. The quote I want to use, though, is from a play that I read. Do you think this would be okay, or should I find a different quote?

@bodangles Well I just thought because it’s not technically from a book, that Princeton admissions wouldn’t like it very much…
I believe you can use a quote from any published work, but the prompt may have changed since my son applied 4 years ago.
If essays are fine I don’t see why a play would be verboten, especially since you read it (like a book!).
