Also, could I visit schools during Halloween week?

Another question:
What do you think of schools in the countryside(Choate,St Pauls etc.)?
What do they do at weekends?

If you visit during the summer you won’t be able to see classes happening and I’m not sure if admissions is there the whole summer. You can definitely visit the week of Halloween.
Wow, I never thought of Choate and St. Paul’s as in the countryside… it’s really more Hotchkiss and Deerfield that are out there.
Choate and St. Paul’s are actually pretty close to some bigger towns and I imagine they do what most other schools do on weekends (trips, hang out, walk to town, etc.)

choate is not in the countryside it’s not in NYC either, but it’s not like hotchkiss/deerfield

what towns/cities is Choate near?

Many schools will allow you to visit in the summer, though many dont have students on campus.

We were in the northeast this past summer for a camp and 2 schools that we visited didnt have classes in session but admissions people were soooooo happy to spend time with us…really no pressure. The seemed to enjoy the break up of their day.

At one school, The Gunnery, 2 young women who live nearby came to campus to give the tour, they spent almost 2 hours talking about the boarding school adventure not just their school.

It is different than during the regular school year but worth the time…I learned so much more.

Even though we knew neither school was right for us, even on admissions offer recommended other schools that were a better fit for my daughter than her school, my d was allowed to “practice interview”.

Even though my d interviews well…the additional practice made her more confident and relaxed.

It is worth the time and effort to visit and interview as much as possible, i recommend, before you fill out applications.

We toured and interviewed places and then decided not to apply, wasnt the right fit.

Just my 3 cents —lol

dhurley, it’s already in a town with about 40k residents… close to hamden, which has 60k it’s suburban, but it’s not in the middle of nowhere like hkiss

SPS is in NH’s capital… it just has a rural campus.
