Can Psychobio be finished in 3 years???

Hi, I am thinkin about coming to UCLA for undergrad. I heard from one guy that Psychobiology is an easy courseload and can be finished in 3 years?
*Is this true, can I GRADUATE from UCLA with a B.S in psychobiology in 3 years? *

To finish in 3 years would I have to have an intense schedule of courses, or can the schedule just be normal?

Do you think I could also tack on a Public Health minor and still graduate with that major in 3 years?

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!!

P.S: I have a hella lot of AP Credits including bio and psych.

[Psychobiology Major for Freshmen Admitted Fall 2003 and Thereafter — UCLA Psychology Department](http://www.psych.ucla.edu/undergraduate/advising/majors-minors/psychobiofreshmen03)

you have 29 classes for the psychobio major, plus 6 GE classes (assuming Foundations of Scientific Inquiry GE requirement is fulfilled by the psychobio major requirements, see here: http://www.registrar.ucla.edu/GE/GE-LSFr08-09.pdf</a>). That’s 35 classes, so assuming you take 4 classes per quarter, you can do it in 9 quarters (which = three years).

check UCLA AP credit policies. AP bio doesn’t count for anything, while AP psych counts for Psych 10.

^That’s assuming that one doesn’t run into scheduling problems — which is very likely due to limited space, requisite restrictions, time conflicts, and other mishaps.

bump…

Is taking 4 classes per quarter intense (ppl told me to take 3 my first quarter, would that still work out?)

neeed MORE REPLIES THIS SHAPES MY DECISION OF WHETHER OR NOT I GO TO LA

It depends on you. I really hate taking 4 classes so I always took 3 per quarter. You should take 3 like others say and if you find the workload too light, you can take a 4th.

Four classes per quarter isn’t so intense in itself as it varies based on class selection. But taking four classes for consecutive quarters is pretty intense and some things gotta give, assuming you want above average academic performance.

Summer school … take both sessions and you can take 3 per quarter for some years.

ugh how lucky… i have to take 4 classes per quarter for 4 years… and you guys are getting 3 classes in 3 years :(

Stay a 5th year! That’s how I was able to take 3 classes each semester! haha

so I guess I cannot do that? Are psychobio classes easy or hard? Also can someone give me an updated number of the number of classes you have to take to fulfill that major? Are there any other easy majors that can be completed in 3 years and still fulfill predent/premed reqs?

bump…**** i need answers!!

Have you read post #2?

psychobio is reputedly the easiest life science major.

jesus. “easy” is relative; if you like psychology, then take it. look at the major requirements and see whether you’re INTERESTED in the classes you have to take.

im very interested ppl said if u are interested early and know what u want to do u can finish in 3 years…is this true?

^yes it’s possible. but it depends on what you’re coming in with (ap credit for calc/english, community college classes you took in high school, whether you pass the foreign language placement test, …)

as a side note, why are you so interested in getting done with psychobio in 3 years? there’s no point (it may even hurt you in ways much less controllable than getting a poor gpa)
