"Did you live, or will you have lived in Texas the 36 months leading up to High School graduation?"

Is this question asking if I've attended a Texas high school for three years, or if I just lived in Texas 3 years in total?

Most Likely Have you lived in texas for more than 3 years, unless…somehow you went to high school here without living…which would make no sense. They both go hand in hand

I actually really need to know which. Because I have lived in Texas for over 10 years, but the only years of high school i’ve done in Texas is Junior and Senior year. Freshman and Sophomore was done in a Virginia school

Just my opinion, you RESIDE here. You just went to a boarding school correct? That counts for something.

Call admissions.

If your parent(s) is military and Texas is your legal residence, you are considered in-state for tuition even if you are currently residing in VA due to military assignment. That kind of sounds like your situation.

To be sure, make the call to admissions.
