Can Someone Chance Me for Bard?

I posted the same list of stats for someone to chance me for BU, and I was wondering if someone could do the same for Bard. Thank you so much!

I’m female, white, middle class. (because of this, I know the odds can be against me)

My overall unweighted GPA: 91 (about 2-3 points lower than it would actually be due to a 2-month long illness that required being in the hospital without resources)

SAT (redesigned) -
First sitting (Math 590 [which I’m working to improve, I’m aiming for around a 620 though) (Reading 670) (Essay 6/6/6)
I’m taking another SAT on June 4 after working to improve my math/reading scores because I know for a fact I can do much better. I am also planning on taking the SAT again in the Fall if my scores still don’t meet my own expectations.

ACT-

New Horizons Club (helping out sister school in the Dominican Republic via volunteer work and fundraising) grades 10 & 11
Music (I play 4 different instruments at a high level)
Journalism Club, grades 11 & will participate in 12 because it was not offered until my Junior Year
Yearbook Committee, grades 11 & will participate in 12
NaNoWriMo - write a 50,000 word novel every November (grades 9, 10, 11) At my school this is a club of sorts, but I’m not sure if colleges would also see it like that.
Key Club (grades 10, 11, will participate in 12)

I haven’t taken any SAT IIs- should I?

I am projected to be in NHS, I see my chances as pretty good because of my statistics, but I could be wrong.

At this point I am not sure of my class rank because my school doesn’t offer students that information until after junior year.

Another fact about me is that I skipped the 8th grade, went straight into 9th grade, and immediately began getting an A+ average in all of my classes. I’m not sure if that means anything though!

I hope that Bard isn’t too much of a long shot for me. I am aware that it will be a reach, but I am a strong student and have very strong recommendations from all of my teachers.

I am considering studying anthropology or sociology wherever I attend school. Thank you so much to whoever chances me!

Hi!

As someone who had a not-so-stellar GPA and did not submit test scores to Bard – and got in – I think you will be fine. Just make sure to show the admissions committee why you want to go to Bard and why you would fit in to such a unique school in Podunk, New York.

I wish you the best! Who knows, maybe one day I’ll see you in Little Annandale.

Also: I plan on studying sociology, too! From what I’ve heard, and the little contact I’ve had, the sociology department is great.

If you can convey your interest, I would guess you’ll get in. If it’s your first choice, you may want to look at some of their alternative entry paths and see if you feel like you’d present yourself better through those.

Bard is awesome. Good luck!
