<p>I’d say you have a decent chance at both with a strong application. Where you’re from would also be helpful to know. Applying from NE you’re in, from the mid Atlantic, it’s tougher at both. </p>

<p>Hopefully you have a unique twist on the gay angle? It might make you an ORM at NYU.</p>

<p>I have not seen these schools together on many lists, they couldn’t be more different.</p>

<p>Oh i’m from new jersey. So my guidance counselor told me that I have a good chance in Bowdoin because i’m like 5 hours away from it or something.</p>

<p>NYU requires scores but they like changed it or something, idk.</p>

<p>YES! that’s what people have been telling me, but uh, cause I want either in the city or like by the woods. It’s either or. But i’m visiting NYU again, and I’ll visit Bowdoin soon and I’ll seee what I want.</p>

<p>so did you take the ACT???your AP scores dont seem high enough for NYU…well,they arent low either.but i think you should try the act.</p>

<p>Unless you are getting a major plug to admissions from the Cross Country coach at Bowdoin, I think it’s unlikely you will get in. Also many students apply from NJ. If you were from Wyoming, that might be a different story.

I am taiwanese and japanese
income is less the 30,000 with Bout 6 people living together
Rank: 62/622 so uhmm 10%
SAT Scores: 650 (math) 650(writing) 610(crit reading) 9 on my essay
i might retake my sat in decemeber iono if i should?
Sat Subs: Us history (600) gonna retake tat and taking lit, us, and math 2c this month</p>

<p>extra cirr: Piano and Flute for 5 years each i have like awards almost every year 1st and 2nd currently level 9 for piano and testing for level 9 for flute and am also competing in a few competitions this year</p>

revived the American Red Cross CLub, currently President
Historian of UNICEF in junior year
have about 250 hours from volunteering at a church choir
and about another 250 hours for volunteering at my church
I was a camp leader for my church camp and also was part of the worship team
my grandma is curently helping me to try to get a community service award from the City of Walnut and my city is West Covina so its supposed to show that i help out more than just West Covina
Also im active in CSF, Interact, UNICEF, NHS, and possibly the American SIgn Language Club and maybe the GO Greeen club. &lt;/p>

<p>Im also considering applying early decision and taking alumni interview since i live in california.</p>
