Can someone find a LAC that fits me?

Please, in the name of all that’s holy, tell me that there is no such thing as a “pre-podiatry program.” Surely higher education is not THAT debased!

Your stats seem more than a hair below Williams’ standard to me. I think it would be a significant reach unless you are a recruited athlete. I know kids with far more impressive stats and plenty of good ECs who have not gotten in to Williams. By all means apply, but look at some less reachy choices also.

I’d look at Colgate, Bucknell, and Hamilton. Possibly Bowdoin and Middlebury, although both are reachier.

Williams doesn’t have athletic scholarships but to be quite honest, there financial aid is so amazing that I wouldn’t have even needed a scholarship.

I was being recruited by some major div 1 programs for throwing and some decent div 1 and good div 2 for football but I decided to go the academic route and use my good grades plus my athletic ability to gain admission to the more academic focused schools.

I think that a lot of the schools mentioned are on the reach side. Eg…Willaims, Amherst, Middlebury, and Bowdoin. They are all similar in the students who get accepted. Well rounded with high test scores and really good grades.

Are you being recruited for shotput or for football?

I am being recruited for football

Carleton fits the bill perfectly. It has one of the best intramural sports programs in the country and its known for its quirkiness. Only thing is… it’s not easy to get into.
