I'm only in Algebra 2, and I was wondering if that would keep me from doing well on the ACT math section. I brought my book home so I could possibly study ahead on further lessons like the quadratic formula or things that might be on there, but I didn't know if that was suggested...?

yes, it will hurt you

So you suggest studying for the math part? Any other opinions?

study trig

Don't just study ahead on whatever's in your math book. Get the Real ACT Prep Guide or do the free practice test in the Preparing for the ACT booklet [here[/url]. When you score the practice test, you can see from the subscores what areas you need the most work on. Look at all the questions you missed. How many are basic algebra, geometry, or other topics you've already covered in school, and how many are things you haven't covered, like trig? It's easier to review things you've already learned than to learn new things, so if you need a little review, I'd do that first.
