Sophomore year, I reluctantly signed up for winter track. I had no interest in running and was only getting in shape for the spring lacrosse season. Looking back, winter track was the best decision I ever made for myself. In the beginning, I struggled to keep up with everyone and often finished last in the workouts, exhausted. As the season progressed, so did I. I slowly began to keep up with the group and no matter how far behind or exhausted I was, I never stopped. Winter track taught me how to push myself beyond where I ever thought I could go. I feel accomplished and proud of myself every time I finish a hard workout. Running relieved my stress and always made me feel good after practice, even if the rest of my day was bad. I have improved dramatically over the years and learned to love the sport.

Rough draft. Any criticisms or pointers? Help!
Thanks so much!
