can you guys please let me know if i can make it to the above mentioned universities or not?

thanks.

For UIUC, they don’t read LOR. Your SAT score is good enough, but their Engineering does need higher GPA though.

The UCs do not accept letters of recommendation, either. Admissions to all of those colleges are especially brutal for Indian STEM applicants. Perhaps you should also look at some less selective colleges where your stats are well above average, unless you already have satisfactory safety schools at home.

Your chances are not looking good for the universities you listed. 11th grade is very important for U.S admissions and a 54% kills your chances for prestigious universities. You don’t have impressive extracurriculars, and being an Indian student decreases your chances even more. You have practically no chance for these colleges. Consider applying to universities like Wake Forest, UW Madison, UT Austin. Even for them you don’t have an excellent shot but at least it’s possible.

Umm but don’t they like see the relative grades in eleventh? (the highest in my school was like 76-78%).

Could you guys suggest me some colleges? (want to pursue civil engg.)

and should i consider re-appearing for the SAT? will a better score help?
