what would be the 1st 2nd 3rd etc. option for someone who graduates from a top 20 MBA school?

I-banking, finance dept at F500, PE, consulting, venture cap, investment management, hedge fund mgmt

If you can think of anymore that would be cool.

VC and HF Management is VERY difficult to get into, even if you have ibanking experience and graduate from the top finance schools (Stanford, Harvard, CBS, Booth, Fuqua, Stern, Tuck).

More likely are corporate finance, ibanking, investment managment.

By far the most likely is consulting based on recruiting numbers for any of the top schools. Investment banking is about half as likely.

Those two fields account for the majority of mba grads and are what people go to mba programs to move into. After that the recruting is a little more personal. Engineers will go back to engineering, people with investment experience may go to funds or vc firms, people with industry experience will go to respective f500 companies.
