Can someone recommend a smaller private, mid-tier college that has strong engineering programs?

@ucbalumnus is correct - but I added the test optional comment for future readers whose scores may be less competitive

Fyi Trinity has a presidential scholarship given to the top students in each entering class (6-12 per year) - full tuition all four years (possibly full ride - I can’t recall which and can’t look it up right now)

@mamag2855 You really think I have a shot at the Marquis Fellowship? That’d be really exciting. I can’t imagine they give out more than 20ish a year. I’ll seriously consider applying. I don’t really want to apply for or attend BU, so maybe I’ll do Lafayette instead. Thanks for the suggestion.

@Magnetron Already applied to Northeastern! I would also seriously consider attending if I were admitted.
I’m not religious, so I’d feel out of place at a Catholic school.

@janjmom They do offer a lot of scholarships and it’s nice that everything is all written out. I don’t qualify for the scholarship that would qualify me to compete for their largest scholarship (it’s only full tuition). I’d sooner go to Texas A&M, as I’d qualify for tuition and their engineering programs are quite highly ranked. Thanks anyway!

Lafayette scholarship applicants are encouraged to apply earlier than the Jan. 15th application deadline and are also strongly encouraged to interview. https://admissions.lafayette.edu/financial-aid/types-of-aid/lafayette-scholarships/
