can the phone calls you make to the admissions office ever affect getting in?

i called a prestigious college and i said something REALLY, REALLY dumb. like i stumbled over my words, stuttered, lost my train of thought, and then asked them a dumb question out of sheer nervousness... but before that I had left my name and telephone number.

will they use this phone call against me in any way?

Whenever I call anybody that relates in any way to my top choice school- I am always extremely careful. That secretary or w.e either wouldn't care and understand that your nervous, or, while giving your name and phone number to a person relating to admissions comment about what/how you said certain things. I know for a fact that colleges take note of people asking stupid questions during tours or interviews, I can't be sure about a phone call. For your sake, I hope she just doesn't care. Good luck.

wait...

so they CAN use this against me?

oh man....

You probably should have considered that before you made this call. Good luck!

dude, they won't consider it against you. They don't remember the millions of people that call them by the minute...get over it. No-one cares and it doesn't affect anything.
