<p>I don't think the post office is open on the first...unless you're talking about online submission, in which case you can submit on the 1st.</p>

<p>you guys dont even worry they dont care if your apps come in even 3 or 4 wks late read "A is for Admission", it takes them all of January just to tabulate all the apps, if yours comes in late it will just be tabulated and inputted in the system last.
So don't sweat it.</p>

<p>just.a.thought - Yeah, the commonapp doesn't ask about payment when you submit...you have to go to the checklist tab. There're a bunch of boxes for various things...one of them is 'online payment.' Follow the link there to Harvard's website and that's how you pay for it.</p>
