<p>Yes, you can request a roomate if all of your housing choices (including residential programs) are exactly the same. However, I read somewhere that the "requested roomate" is more important then the "residential program". In other words, if you get accepted into the residential program, and your friend does not get accepted, either both of you will be accepted, or both of you will be rejected. I really do not know how they figure out whether to accept or reject.
